Dr. Gavin Ewing

Some people have a job, other people have a passion. Dr. Gavin Ewing pursues excellence in dentistry every day, driven by his love for helping his patients, developing his skills, and creating meaningful relationships with his patients.

Dr. Gavin Ewing found dentistry when he was invited to shadow his mentor and family dentist in junior year of college. He was immediately attracted to the opportunity to make an impact on patient’s lives through providing excellent dental care. He finished his BS degree in Chemistry at The College of New Jersey and continued his education at Columbia College of Dental Medicine. At Columbia he was active in student government and did research on helping patients manage their dental anxiety. He really enjoyed the pay it forward culture of the school.

Dr. Gavin Ewing graduated from Columbia in the top nine of his class and in doing so what inducted to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National dental honor society. He then pursued clinical excellence by attending the general practice residency at Sepulveda VA, near Los Angeles. In this residency he acquired advanced training in endodontics, oral surgery, implants, and full mouth rehabilitation by working closely with a team of specialist mentors.

After residency, Dr. Gavin Ewing moved to Alameda in order to chase better wind conditions for one of his other loves, kitesurfing. He managed an office in Pleasanton for a group practice where he quickly became a clinical director for the group and shared his passion and expertise with other dentists.

In January 2019, Dr. Gavin Ewing met Dr. Brown and he was thrilled to be given the chance to take over Dr. Brown’s practice when Dr. Brown retired. Dr. Gavin Ewing is excited to now have his long-term dental home. He looks forward to making a positive impact on his patient’s lives by providing caring, comprehensive, quality dental work.

In his free time he loves attending live music, kiteboarding, and snowboarding. He also enjoys eating his way around California. Living the dream!!!
